Tuscan Hero Sandwich
Lemon-garlic marinated steak grilled and layered on a toasted roll with lettuce, provolone cheese, bell peppers and olives.
Yield: 24 servings
1. Pour Lemon-Garlic marinade over beef. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Remove beef from marinade; grill or broil to medium-rare. Slice 1/8 inch thick; keep hot.

2. For each sandwich: Brush cut sides of roll with 2 teaspoons marinade; grill or broil until golden. Layer bottom half of roll with lettuce, 1 slice cheese, 3 ounces beef, 1-1/2 ounces bell peppers, 1 ounce onions and 1/2 ounce olives.

Cover with roll top. Serve warm.

Lemon-Garlic Marinade: 
LEMON-GARLIC MARINADE: In bowl whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper. Makes 3 cups.

Salt1 teaspoon
Ground black pepper1 teaspoon
